What goes into choosing the best plastic cutting boards for your specific uses? Depending on your application, some things you’ll need to decide include: dimensions, thickness, color, and material type.
At CuttingBoardWerks, we custom-cut your replacement cutting board to your specific dimensions, specified down to the 1/10th of an inch.
Cutting board thickness depends on what you are using to cut your food products, how hard you are cutting, and how often. A table-top sized plastic butcher board might be best in the one inch, or three-quarter inch thicknesses, to stand up to heavy products and cutting. A medium size cutting board for a restaurant kitchen or food prep line might be best in the half-inch thickness, our most popular. Our quarter-inch thick cutting boards are best for light use, and/or smaller dimension cutting boards. The 1/4″ thickness is also an economical alternative if you are replacing your boards frequently, as it is less costly and you only cut on the top!
CuttingBoardWerks provides our custom commercial cutting boards in seven colors – natural white, black, red, blue, green, yellow, and beige. Our natural white plastic cutting boards are available in four thicknesses – 1/4″, 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″, and the six other colors of poly cutting boards are available in the 1/2″ and 3/4″ thicknesses only. You can read about the colors, and their uses, here.
The most popular, and best, material for plastic cutting boards, is “HDPE”, or high-density polyethylene. HDPE plastic is durable, easy to clean, resists warpage, is not easily discolored, and is NSF/USDA/FDA certified for sanitary use. Order today, from CuttingBoardWerks.com!
