Richlite is made from hundreds of phenolic resin soaked sheets of paper pressed together under extreme heat and pressure, producing a solid piece of material as the end product. It is a perfect material for home chef or commercial cutting boards. Richlite Cutting Boards are extremely strong, but still have that natural look of wood, and are highly resistant to splitting, cracking, and staining. Richlite is also easy on knives, light in weight, non-porous, and safe to put in the dishwasher.
Richlite is environmentally friendly. The raw material to make Richlite come only from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified sources and recycled paper. Additionally, nearly 100% of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the laminating resin are eliminated during the lamination process, so they are not released into the air. Richlite is FSC, Rainforest Alliance, and Greenguard certified. Richlite is commonly used for commercial, industrial, and marine purposes, as well as skate park surfaces. It certainly can take anything dished out in a commercial kitchen.
